Swallow’s Nest (Ukraine)
Built from 1912, Swallow's Nest is considered as the symbol of Crimea. This castle including 2 floors was built on the top of Aurora Cliff at a height of 40 meters with 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 foyer and 1 small observation tower. It has appeared in many films such as "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie. Sitting in the castle having the architecture in Neo-Gothic style and watching the romantic views of the sea outside is a great suggestion for anyone who wants to enjoy romantic moments while traveling.
Phugtal Monastery (India)
Phugtal Monastery also called Phuktal, lies on a 3800-meter-high giant canyon of the Himalayas, in the southeast of Zanskar, India. It is one of the most isolated monasteries in the south-eastern Zanskar region in Ladakh district of Jammu and Kashmir in northern India. Built in the early 12th century only from brick, mud, stone and wood, but it remains almost intact until today. Phuktal’s design and the isolated location is of spiritual significance because ancient monks sheltered and meditated in the caves of this area. The monastery is home to 70 monks with 4 churches, 1 library, 1 preach area and common room. To reach the entrance to the monastery, tourists are forced to walk through the 7 km mountain road.
The Treasury (Jordan)
The Treasury is one of the most famous sights of the city of Petra, Jordan. Built in the 1st century BC, this work is a building which is made of solid stone and is situated at a height of 40m. The reason that this building has been built until now is a mystery but most experts believe that it is used as a temple or a royal tomb. It also is one of the places where is preferred by filmmakers, such as in the movie "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade".
Moonhole (Grenadines)
Located on the island of Bequia in the Grenadines, Moonhole is a separate community which was established in the 60s with the purpose of natural conservation and environmental friendliness. The houses here are equipped with generators which use solar energy and rainwater which is stored in tanks to cater for bathing.
In 2004, The New York Times described Moonhole as "an amazing residential community where some houses, with professional chefs and other staffs, can be rented by the week …”
Cliff House (The United States)
Built in 1963, the Cliff House is a restaurant which is located on the cliffs in the north of Ocean Beach in San Francisco. Despite more than 150 years old, it is still very strong. Even in the earthquake in 1906, it was almost undamaged. Currently, this restaurant is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Here is a tourist attraction which appeals many tourists to visit beaches while they both can enjoy delicious meals and admire the peaceful scenes around.
